Refund & Ticket Policy
Age Restrictions
This event is 18+ for ticketed guests.
Selected models, performers, artists or other approved participants under 18 may participate with written consent from a parent or legal guardian and subject to One Oceania’s participant requirements, venue conditions and applicable law.
Under-18 participants will not be served alcohol and may be subject to additional supervision, consent and participation requirements.
By purchasing a ticket to a One Oceania event, you agree to the following refund and ticket conditions.
General Admission Tickets
All General Admission (GA) ticket sales are final and non-refundable for change of mind, personal scheduling conflicts, travel issues, inability to attend or other circumstances unrelated to the delivery of the event.
Australian Consumer Law does not generally require a business to provide a refund simply because a customer changes their mind.
This policy does not affect any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Premium & VIP Tickets
Refund requests for Premium and VIP tickets may be considered where genuine exceptional circumstances exist.
Exceptional circumstances may include serious illness, significant personal emergencies or other unforeseen circumstances outside the ticket holder’s reasonable control.
All requests are considered individually and approval is not guaranteed. One Oceania may request reasonable supporting information before making a decision.
Change of Mind or Inability to Attend
Refunds are not ordinarily provided where a ticket holder:
- changes their mind;
- is no longer able to attend;
- has conflicting plans;
- experiences travel or scheduling difficulties;
- arrives late or misses part of the event;
- does not use all benefits included with their ticket; or
- simply decides not to attend.
Where permitted by the ticketing provider, tickets may instead be transferred to another guest prior to the event.
Not-for-Profit Event
One Oceania operates on a not-for-profit basis.
Ticket revenue contributes directly to the planning and delivery of One Oceania events, including venue hire, staging, production, suppliers, artists, creatives, hospitality, marketing and event operations.
Any surplus funds remaining after event expenses will be reinvested into future One Oceania events, creative opportunities and platforms designed to continue showcasing and supporting our community.
Because event funds may be committed well in advance, One Oceania does not provide refunds for ordinary change of mind or general inability to attend.
Our not-for-profit status does not remove or limit any consumer rights provided by law.
Event Cancellation
If One Oceania cancels an event and it is not rescheduled, affected ticket holders will receive any refund or other remedy required under Australian Consumer Law.
The ACCC states that when an event organiser chooses to cancel an event, consumers are entitled to a refund under their consumer rights.
Rescheduled or Significantly Changed Events
If an event is rescheduled, tickets will generally remain valid for the replacement date.
If One Oceania makes a significant or major change to an event, affected ticket holders will be provided with any refund or other remedy required under Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to individual designers, performers, artists, models, schedules, running times or minor elements of programming do not automatically entitle a ticket holder to a refund unless required by law.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Our services are subject to the Australian Consumer Law, Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Consumer guarantees for services include those relating to due care and skill and other applicable statutory requirements. Where a service has a major problem, consumers may have the right to cancel the service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion or compensation for reduced value.
Ticket Transfers
Tickets may be transferred to another guest prior to the event where permitted by the ticketing platform.
The original ticket holder is responsible for ensuring the replacement attendee receives the correct ticket and relevant event information.
Where tickets are personalised, attendee information may need to be updated before entry.
Booking & Processing Fees
Booking, transaction and payment-processing fees may be subject to the terms of the relevant ticketing or payment provider.
Where a refund is provided, treatment of those fees will depend on applicable law and the provider’s terms.
European Customers
The general 14-day EU cooling-off period does not ordinarily apply to leisure services or event tickets where the service is scheduled for a specific date or period.
Any mandatory consumer rights that apply to a particular transaction will continue to apply.
