ABOUT OUR RUNWAY EVENT

One Ocean. Many Cultures. One Stage.

One Oceania Spring 2027 "VOYAGES" is our inaugural runway event, created to bring together fashion, culture, art, performance and creativity from across Oceania.

More than a traditional fashion show, One Oceania has been created as a platform for designers, models, performers, artists and creatives to be seen, recognised and given the opportunity to showcase what they can do.

We believe incredible talent exists throughout our communities, but talent does not always come with access to the right platform. One Oceania is here to help bridge that gap.

WHY ONE OCEANIA?

One Oceania was created to bring recognition where recognition is deserved.

Across Oceania, there are talented people creating, designing, performing and expressing their culture in incredible ways, yet many may not have had the opportunity, connections or platform to showcase their work to a wider audience.

Our runway is about creating that opportunity.

Whether you are a designer with a collection, a model waiting for your opportunity, a performer ready for the stage, or an artist or creative with something worth sharing, we want One Oceania to be a place where your work can be brought forward and seen.

Our platform aims to give selected creatives the opportunity to:

  • Showcase their talent and work

  • Gain greater visibility and recognition

  • Build creative and industry connections

  • Share their culture, story and creative identity

  • Gain experience through a professionally produced event

  • Connect with other Pacific creatives and communities

  • Create opportunities that may continue beyond the runway

You bring the talent, creativity and vision. One Oceania provides the platform to help you bring it to the stage and put it in front of an audience.

THE 2027 THEME VOYAGES

Our inaugural theme, VOYAGES, celebrates the journeys that connect the people of Oceania across oceans, islands, generations and cultures.

Voyages can represent where we have come from, where we are today and where our creativity can take us next.

Through fashion, art and performance, our selected creatives will be encouraged to interpret VOYAGES through their own individual creative and cultural perspective.

There is no single story of Oceania. Every island, culture, community and individual carries their own experiences and influences. Together, these different perspectives will shape the story told through our inaugural runway.

WHAT TO EXPECT

One Oceania Spring 2027 will bring together:

  • Six selected designers presenting their own original runway collections

  • Models representing the diversity and individuality of our communities

  • Singers, dancers, cultural groups, musicians and other performers

  • Artists and creatives showcasing different forms of creative expression

  • Fashion influenced by culture, identity, storytelling and contemporary creativity

  • Creative collaborations across fashion, beauty, art, media and performance

  • A professionally produced runway bringing each element together on one stage

HONOURING CULTURE. CREATING FOR TODAY.

One Oceania recognises that the traditions, patterns, art, clothing, practices and stories of our Pacific cultures carry deep meaning and history.

Our platform encourages contemporary creativity while recognising and respecting the cultural significance behind what inspires it.

One Oceania is not here to define what Pacific creativity should look like. Instead, we want to provide a platform where people can bring their own genuine cultural connections, experiences, stories and creative perspectives to their work.

Modern creativity does not replace tradition. It can become another way of carrying stories forward, expressing identity and connecting generations.

MORE THAN A RUNWAY

The runway may be where we begin, but the vision for One Oceania extends beyond one night.

We want the connections created through the platform to lead to greater visibility, new relationships, collaborations and future opportunities for the people involved.

As One Oceania grows, our goal is for the platform to grow with our creatives — creating more opportunities for Pacific talent to be recognised, connected and celebrated.

OUR FIRST VOYAGE

Spring 2027 is only the beginning.

As our inaugural event, VOYAGES will establish the foundation for One Oceania and what we hope becomes an evolving creative platform featuring new themes, new talent and new perspectives in the years ahead.

Our first runway is an opportunity to come together and show what exists within our communities when creativity, culture and opportunity are given the space to meet.
